Currently, we are looking for a Manager, Financial Engineering to join the ABF Freight team. The Manager, Financial Engineering acts as an internal consultant focusing on the Company's strategic use of resources and the mission of ABF's Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis department to expedite understanding that drives action.

Your contribution may include:

Lead operational planning, capex planning, initiative tracking, or internal consulting projects.
Calculate financial return, assess risk, and effectively explain impact to decision makers.
Query large and disparate databases to find insights and create new solutions.
Build financial and operational forecasts using a variety of statistical methods.
Maintain expert working knowledge of company's forecasting software solution.
Develop and improve decision models for resource acquisition and allocation.
Develop and analyze investment strategies, timing, and alternatives.
Champion our value-driven culture.
Other duties and projects, as assigned.
As a Manager, Financial Engineering, you will be a member of the ABF Freight Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Math, Economics, or Accounting, required.

Experience: Minimum, four years' experience in a finance role.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus in Excel. Proficient in SQL, Power BI, and forecasting software, preferred. Familiarity with Python, preferred.

Certifications: CPA certification or MBA, preferred.
