Job Description

The Operations Intern will support the Service Center Operations department and will gain exposure to equipment management, transportation coordination and operations planning.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, assist in the planning, supervision, and control of available resources associated with the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.
• Gain understanding of load planning safety and maintenance.
• Assist in job task assignment according to unloading and loading schedules.
• Gain exposure to work assignment coordination, and performance monitoring.
• Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.

• Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

• Must be pursuing a college degree, required
• Supply Chain and Business majors, preferred
• Minimum 2.5 GPA, preferred

Experience:

• No prior experience necessary

Computer Skills:

• Basic computer skills, required
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required

Additional Requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship for employment Upon Hire, required

Other Details

Work Hours:

• This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours will be scheduled to support a 24/7 operation.

Compensation:

• This is a hourly position paid weekly.
